On February 17, 2010, I was diagnosed with Cancer. This is the story, from the first terrifying week in the hospital and all that follows.
we're praying. 2 Cor 2:14
ReplyDeleteThank you for your updates. You are being bathed in prayer. I do not know you personally but I know our God. You are my brother and sister in Christ.
ReplyDeleteHold on and keep looking up. Love.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! I know you can!! --- Aunt Jimmie
ReplyDeleteIn every way, be comforted knowing that you stand on Holy Ground for God is in that room with you and His angels stand guard around the perimeters of that room. He is very attentive. He cares.
ReplyDeleteLove, Brenda
We've never met, but you are often in my thoughts and prayers these days (as well as those of my church and Home Fellowship Group here in PA). We're praying for God's supernatural healing, of course, but also that, in the process, you will experience God's strength made perfect in your weakness and the peace that defies understanding. Just today, I saw God's peace described as "an inexplicable, divine calmness of spirit...that supersedes our ability to understand our circumstances...a guard on our heart, through Jesus, that protects us enough to allow us to whisper, even in the pain, 'It is well with my soul.'"
ReplyDeleteI have been alternately saddened, gladdened, moved, inspired, encouraged and convicted as I've followed your journey over the past few weeks. Your openness and honesty are amazing and refreshing. Your emotions, raw, real (and legitimate). Your witness, powerful. I know that God is and will be working in your trial beyond anything you could imagine. (Eph. 3:14-21)
May God bless and keep you all!

Praying throughout the day...and sometimes even throughout the night. The Lord woke me up at 2am this morning and said..pray for Emmett! So I prayed. You are both in our thoughts and we are looking forward to being there in TN soon to help out any way we can.
ReplyDeleteGod, fill Emmett and Wendy with your perfect peace and keep them strong for this fight. They can do all things through you, Lord who strengthens them!
Sending you much love and MANY, MANY PRAYERS!
Caren & Carl
Know that you are prayed for across race and continent. Much love and prayers sent your direction from Kenya and the US. There is great encouragement in knowing God is with us in everything, but I also realize you must be totally frustrated, angry and questioning at times, and I know that God abides in those places as well. That is what is so amazing about God, that he walks with us wherever we are... You will remain in our (eduKenya staff) prayers...
ReplyDeleteDear Wendy and Emmett! You are dear to God, and to all your friends and family as evidenced above and throughout this blog. You are, indeed, blessed and highly favored. -- Suzi
